If you’re familiar with The Artisans, you’ve almost certainly heard of Vanessa House Beer Company. The guys at Vanessa House have been our sponsors for a few years, graciously providing cold beer for our various events.
Obviously, we’ve grown pretty fond of them!
On October 27th, they celebrated the grand opening of their new taproom and brewing facility at 118 NW 8th St in Oklahoma City! Opening a new facility is no small task, but the Vanessa House crew still found time to invite us out a few days early for pre-grand opening private tour and beer tasting.
At our Vanessa House Takeover, we were joined by about 25 Artisans for a few hours of socializing, networking, and beer drinking. Head Brewer, Evan Smith gave us an in depth tour of the brewing facility and Nick White shared some previously untold stories about the company’s history.
As always, spending a few hours with our fellow Artisans was a great way to end that stressful work-day, and even meet a few new friends. We’re very thankful to Vanesssa House for taking the time out of their day to invite us into their new home. Knowing how much thought and hard work goes into brewing their beer somehow made it taste even better!
If you missed this one, make sure you go ahead and sign up to become an Artisan and you’ll be notified next time we have a Takeover. Membership is free! We only ask for your volunteer assistance with Arts Council OKC’s other programs.
