Festival of the Arts

Volunteer at the Festival

Festival of the Arts is powered by the dedication of hundreds of volunteers. Whether it’s helping visual artists hang their work, providing support for culinary arts, or helping performers get ready for their show, there’s a little something for everyone.

Volunteer Opportunities

Angels and Friends Party

The Angels and Friends Party is Arts Council OKC’s ONLY fundraising party throughout the year. Volunteers are limited.

Art Sales

The Art Sales committee will assist in the purchasing of art at various sales booths. You will have the opportunity to interact with the guests and help them purchase the perfect piece of art to take home from the Festival.

Artist Friends

Join the Artist Friends committee by providing hospitality for our 144 artists. You might be sitting in their booth so they can have a break or offering up a cool drink on a hot day. This committee is all about showing our artists some Oklahoma hospitality.

Children's Art Field

The Children’s Art Field provides children ages 3 to 12 with the opportunity to express their artistic talents through a variety of hands-on activities. Volunteers will help organize and restock supplies and assist children in art-making.

Creation Station

Creation Station features huge pieces of sculpture which come alive in addition to the artistic elements (found objects, material, etc.) added by children and adults throughout the week of Festival. Volunteers will help oversee this operation and assist in tearing down the structure after the event.

Drinks Tents

Join our Drinks committees and provide assistance in the drink stations and in the set up and take down of the drink tents. You will be pouring drinks and assisting customers with their purchases. Volunteers must be 21 years or older.

Face Painting

Face painting volunteers assist with customer sales transactions.

Join our Festi-Pics committee and help create an exciting, fun experience for the guests. You’ll get opportunities to interact with Festival visitors and help them snag the perfect selfie or group shot that they can print, email and share on social media.

Mustard's Last Stand

Mustard’s Last Stand is Festival’s family friendly concession stand. We sell hot dogs, chili dogs, Frito chili pie, nachos, coffee, iced tea and more. Come join in the fun and help us make tasty food for families attending Festival!

Park West

Park West is another area in the Festival of the Arts that sells craft beer and wine. Volunteers will assist with pouring beer and wine for customers, taking cash, clearing tables and monitoring the area. Volunteers must be 21 years or older.

Join our Pottery committee and help organize Pottery Place, a popular Festival activity which offers children and adults the opportunity to create their own clay masterpiece.

Sculpture Park

Join our Sculpture Park committee and assist customers in the outdoor sculpture garden. Volunteers will have the opportunity to interact with customers and help them with their purchases of the available sculptures.

Six Day Cellars

The Six Day Cellars committee will provide assistance and serve customers at the craft beer and wine garden located on the east side of Bicentennial Park. Volunteers will monitor indoor and outdoor seating where various wines will be sold during regular festival hours. Volunteers must be 21 years or older.

VIP Tent
