A new addition to the All Access Arts line up of programs this year, the Dance to Learn initiative addresses community need by providing dance/movement education and enrichment in a safe educational environment. Our carefully selected teaching artists, along with school staff, have set out to help students establish a dance vocabulary, build artistic knowledge and skills, and gain confidence as performers.  To highlight all the their newly acquires dancing abilities,  3rd through 5th graders at Lighthouse Academies Charter School finished off the school year with a concert performance based on Frozen, the animated film.

Untitled design (3)Incorporating dance, music, and theater, the performers turned the Sante Fe South Gym into a winter wonderland. Battles with trolls, a royal pursuit, a first dance, and a marshmallow attack, this show had it all. Incorporating the arts is a crucial component of a well rounded and complete education.
