Arts Council Oklahoma City Will Continue Education Programming During Teacher Walkout

April 03, 2018

As schools across Oklahoma City close to support the statewide teacher walkout, Arts Council Oklahoma City is committed to continuing to provide arts education to students through the All Access Arts program. In an effort to provide a consistent experience for the students at the 14 Oklahoma City Public Schools currently served through All Access Arts, Arts Council OKC will be relocating teaching artists to local facilities throughout the duration of the teacher walkout. The Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma County and OKC Parks and Recreation Department will host All Access Arts teaching artists at their facilities in conjunction with their efforts to provide childcare and programming for those students and parents in need during this time.

Each week All Access Arts reaches over 3,000 students at 14 different schools across Oklahoma City. Students involved in the program receive visual and performing arts education from experienced teaching artists.

For information on the daily schedule, contact All Access Arts Director Jillian Coker at jcoker@artscouncilokc.com or 405-270-4891.
