Artisans and the Art of Photography

April 05, 2018

The Artisans descended on Film Row this week to learn about The Art of Photography. This event was hosted at Randy Coleman Photography where current Artisans and prospective members were greeted with light bites, sponsored by Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse, and local brews, sponsored by Vanessa House Beer Company. After mingling with fellow young professionals, attendees were treated to a special lecture from talented local photographer, Randy Coleman. Randy shared a couple personal (and several hilarious) stories about how he became involved with photography as a profession, how he views photography as an artform and some tips and tricks on how to capture the best photo! Did you know that there is an easy way to tell a person’s “good side”? Well, thanks  to Randy Coleman, the Artisans do!

After Randy’s talk it was time to take headshots! Randy is known for his ability to capture the true essence of his subjects and artisans got to experience this first hand when we stepped in front of the camera for our professional headshots! Through a combination of humor and kindness, Randybrought the best out of each person yielding flattering and versatile headshots that will Artisans can proudly use in their professional endeavors.

FOMO eating you up? Don’t miss the next Artisan event, the Artisan Production Day, when we will be on the frontline of helping to set up for the 52nd Annual Festival of the Arts!
