The Teen Advisory Council is a new Arts Council of Oklahoma City program dedicated entirely to teens providing a comfortable arena for teens to voice their opinions, develop their leadership skills, and advance their potential as members of the community -- all through the arts.

How Can I become involved?

Donate! Money, art supplies and equipment, space and facilities. Volunteer! Speak! Are you a local professional in the arts? Would you like to talk to this group about how you built your career? The TAC would love to hear from you. Email us your thoughts and ideas.

The Teen Advisory Council, a program at the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, is now recruiting new members for the 2012-2013 school year! The Teen Advisory Council’s mission is “bringing together teens and the arts.” With 15 members, ages 14-18, from different schools around the metro area, the TAC is diverse in its members as well as in its program planning. If you are interested in the visual arts, photography, music, dance, theater or fashion, would like to earn some community service hours, and want to create new opportunities for teens and the arts, then the Teen Advisory Council would be the place for you!

Requirements

1. 14 to 18 years old
2. interested in art
3. have a 2.75 GPA or higher
4. willing to volunteer 4 hours a month

2. Get your high school transcript
