Festival of the Arts 2010 visual artist deadline is over

The deadline for the 2010 Festival of the Arts was Sept.  30, 2009. Please apply for the 2011 event, starting July 2010. If you would like to be emailed a reminder to apply next year, please sign up for our E-News and be sure to check the box "Visual Artist Info/Applications."

The Arts Council of Oklahoma City is proud to present the 44th annual Festival of the Arts, scheduled for April 19-24, 2010! This fine art show averages $1.2 million in art sales each year and draws 750,000 annually.  

ONLINE ZAPPLICATION SYSTEM

The only way to apply to the Festival of the Arts is through ZAPPlication.  This is an online application and digital jury process. This online application will be available July 2010. 

Applying is easy
1. Visit the website at www.zapplication.org.
2. Register and create your artist profile.
3. Prepare and upload your images to the site (see the Image Preparation section).*
4. Complete the online application to the “Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts 2011.”  Application fee is $20.  Deadline is midnight (CST) September 30, 2010.
5. No printed applications will be accepted.

*If you need to have your slides put into digital form, the Arts Council recommends local photography company Epperson Photo-Video (405-943-1047 or 1-888-413-6058).  For a fee of $30, Epperson will scan up to 20 mounted slides or single negatives to CD at 2048x3072 pixel per square inch print quality.  These images would be sent back to you via UPS or FedEx on a CD-ROM disk for your computer.  ZAPPlicationTM also has suggested companies that offer this service, located in the Image Preparation portion of their website.
