Community Arts

The Arts Council of Oklahoma City’s Community Arts Programs serve central Oklahoma‘s growing need for arts education by providing educational arts projects that support the overall cognitive, social, and creative development of youth.

Community Arts Programs focus on bringing the arts to under-served audiences, particularly, children who have been identified as “at risk” due to their economic status, exposure to substance abuse, violence, or those with physical and mental challenges.

Community Arts Programs include: Arts After School, Special Audiences, Neighborhood Arts, Play in the Park arts programs and GEAR UP.

Community Arts Programs are made possible with the assistance of the Oklahoma Arts Council, National Endowment for the Arts, Kirkpatrick Family Fund and additional partners.
